The Yamaha PS-3, originally marketed as a home/toy keyboard is a remarkable synthesizer from 1980. Surprisingly, it boasts the same VCF and VCA chips found in the CS01 synthesizer and Electone organs. What sets this synth apart from other home/toy keyboards is that it’s fully analog, which may not be apparent from its exterior alone. Now, let’s delve into what we did with this gem… We painstakingly multi-sampled all of it’s sounds, firstly infusing them with some analog goodness. We ran them through tape, added a touch of saturation, and applied subtle EQ to enhance their depth & richness. Throughout this meticulous process, we made sure to preserve the unique character of the PS-3.  We are offering this pack completely free of charge, and it will be part of a much larger collection of multi-sampled toy/home keyboards set to be released in 2024..
